The Digitizing Olympics 2002

Judging

The event schedules can be found online at http://www.DigitizingOlympics.com simply select the month you wish to review from the events menu.

This is how the events unfold:

  • Artwork is made available for the Olympians to download on the dates specified per event.

  •
  • Olympians are responsible for uploading their designs by the deadline. Should any designs arrive late the judges are notified and their design suffers a loss of points.

  •
  • Once the designs have been uploaded they are assembled in a zip file for you to download, a judges newsletter will arrive via e-mail to alert you when the designs are available for judging.

  • To download the designs, print run sheets and color sequences, and return to submit your results you will go to http://www.DigitizingOlympics.com/Registered and enter the judges password protected area. Please submit your results according to the deadlines specified per event in order to have your results included in the final tally. You are asked to sew each design and take some notes on certain elements as you watch them run, making your decisions based on your opinion as a professional embroiderer. Just treat each design as if you ordered it from a digitizer.

    Live Scoreboard  Live Scoreboard
The Live Scoreboard located in the Registered Judges and Olympians area allows participants to monitor the event results as they are entered. When all results have been entered, the numbers are double checked and the top three are scheduled to receive their medals in the Winners Circle Chat area. Olympians may review their scores in detail by using the Judges comments mouseover and Scorecard mouseover windows, or link to the full stack of detailed results entered.

When Olympians enter their designs, they also enter their individual design color sequences which are compiled by design in a convenient page for printing and taking to the machine.
