May Event - Digitizing From Photography
 |
The May Event involves rendering
an embroidery design from a photograph. Olympians will make decisions on
how many colors and what techniques they feel would create a quality embroidered
image from a digital photograph. Earth tones and textures may play a big
part in this outdoor theme.

April Event - Floral Design
Flowers take on many shapes,
sizes and postures, and there are literally thousands of different flowers
and perennials around the world. Our art staff could not determine which
flower to use for the April event, so it has been decided to leave the
Olympians a choice which gives them yet another event to express their
creativity and artistic judgement. Good luck to all of our Olympians!

March Event - Shading and Blending
|
The March Event is Shading
and Blending. This tropical design may look simple at first glance, however
from the digitizers perspective this design will be a real challenge. Will
the palm tree have dimension? Will the sun have a special fill or more
of a manual blending technique? Check in for the results broadcast live
from the NNEP Conference in De Moines Iowa April 5th and 6th. Good luck
to all of our Olympians!
