The Digitizing Olympics 2002

Google

The Digitizing Olympics were created for Embroiderers and Digitizers around the world to share talents, techniques and skills in Embroidery Digitizing. Preliminary events will be held throughout each year until the finals which will take place in a chosen location. Through this web site anyone from around the world may compete and participate in all of the events held in the Digitizing Olympics.

Results 2002

The 2002 season was an exciting venture into this new project. Several Olympians won multiple medals throughout the preliminaries until the July vote qualified 5 Olympians for the Finals held in Nashville Tennessee. The Finals presented the most difficult challenge to date for Olympians, as they were given the artwork and expected to produce the finished design in a 5 1/2 hour time period. The theme for the 2002 Digitizing Olympics (and Embroidery Olympics) was The Embroiderers Garden, and the art proved to include many elements to put our Olympians to the test. Special thanks goes out to all of our participants, especially the judges who found the extra time in their respective schedules to run and critique these designs throughout the year. A big thanks goes out to our sponsors as well, please visit the sponsors page of this web site and visit our sponsors as a thanks for their support of the Digitizing Olympics.
